Purgatory in Catholic Christianity

Abstract
According to the Catholic view, the dead which does not go directly into the paradise, stays at the purgatory stage waiting for reunion with God. The church confirmed this first in the council of Lyon (1274), and recognized it in the councils of Florence (1439) and Trient (1547, 1563). Hristiyan dünyasında Araf inancı tartışmalı bir konu olup, sadece Katolik Hristiyanlarca kabul görmüş bir inançtır. 1274 Lyon Konsil´inde dile getirilen bu inanç, 1439 Floransa ve 1547 Torento Konsillerinde son şeklini almıştır.Bu çalışmada katolik okullarının Araf /Berzah inancı hakkındaki görüşleri araştırılacaktır
