Abstract
People's perception of the world and the social system varies in parallel with the socioe c o n o m i c c h a n g e s . A s a r e s u l t o f t h e s e c h a n g i n g p e r c e p t i o n s , v a r i o u s worldviews/ideologies that claim to make the world a better place emerge. The perception of “self” and “other” forms in parallel with an ideology/ideologies. This essay will examine the novel “Panorama” by Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu for clues about three ideologies – Islam, nationalism, and socialism – that came out during the Turkish national movement and the perception of the “other” which is shaped by these ideologies
Özet
Toplumsal ve ekonomik değişmelere paralel olarak kişilerin ve grupların dünyaya ve toplumsal düzene ilişkin algıları da değişir. Değişen bu algılar sonucu, hepsi de dünyayı daha güzel bir yer hâline getirme iddiasında olan, çeşitli dünya görüşleri/ideolojiler ortaya çıkar. İdeoloji(ler) doğrultusunda öznenin "kendi"ne ve "öteki"ne bakışı şekillenir. Bu çalışmada Türk ulusal hareketi yıllarında ortaya çıkan üç ideolojinin - İslam, ulusalcılık, sosyalizm - ve buna bağlı gelişen "öteki" algısının Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu'nun "Panorama" adlı romanındaki iz düşümleri araştırılacaktır
