Effective factors on the cotton production cost and success of farm enterprisers on the irrigated areas of Yüreğir District of Adana Province

Abstract
In this study, effective factors on the cotton production cost and success of the farm holdings have been evaluated on the basis of agricultural enterprises on the irrigated areas of Yüreğir district of Adana province. Amount of input usage in the cotton production such as labour and machine power with the eifective factors on the success of farm holdings are investigated on the farm basis. As a result of the study, cotton production cost are estimated as 169.000 TL/kg in the period of 1997/98. In the study made in agricultural holdings, it is found that, 61.50 hours/da labour power and 2.78 hours/da machine power were used. Within the effective factors on the farm economic performance, owned land, higher selling prices and high yield are found as the most important factors.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, pamuk üretim maliyetleri ve işletme başarısını etkileyen etmenler, Adana İli Yüreğir Üçesi'nde sulanan alanlarda tarım işletmeleri düzeyinde değerlendirilmiştir. Pamukta kullanılan girdi miktarları, işgücü ve makine çekigücü miktarları ile işletme başarısını etkileyen etmenler işletmeler düzeyinde araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, 1997/98 döneminde pamuk üretim maliyeti 169.000 TL/kg olarak hesaplanmıştır. incelenen işletmelerde pamuk üretim faaliyetinde, 61.50 saat/da işgücü, 2.78 saat/da makine çekigücü kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir. İşletme başarısını etkileyen etmenler içerisinde, pamuk ekim alanı ve mülk arazinin fazlalığı ile satış fiyatının ve verimin yüksekliği başarıyı olumlu yönde etkileyen en önemli etmenler olarak saptanmıştır.
