Determination of some biological peculiarities of Trichogramma evanescens Westwood (Hymenoptera, Trichogrammatidae) on the eggs of Ostrinia nubilalis Hübner (Lepidoptera, Pyralidae)

Abstract
In this study, life time fecundity, emergence rate, the number of emerged adult per egg mass, the number of emerged adult per parasitized egg and sex ratio of the Trichogramma evanescens Westwood (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae), the egg parasitoid of European corn borer, Ostrinia nubilalis Hübner, were studied at five temperatures (15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 °C) and two humidity regimes (60±5 % and 80±5 %) under laboratory conditions. Life time fecundity was the high at the temperature of 25°C and 80+5 % RH humidity (38.60 eggs), and low at 35°C and 60+5 %RH (8.05 eggs); emergence rate (98.74 % adult), the number of emerged adult per egg mass (73.05 adult), the number of emerged adult per parasitized egg (2.1 adult) and sex ratio (5.13:1 female:male) of the T. evanescens were high at the temperature of 30°C, low at 15°C and 35°C. It was determined that, the effects of temperature and humidity on the life time fecundity, emergence rate, the number of emerged adult per egg mass, the number of emerged adult per parasitized egg and sex ratio of the Trichogramma evanescens were found important factors.Depending on the temperature and humidity, the optimum temperature for the parasitoid was 30 °C.

Bu çalışmada, yumurta parazitoidi Trichogramma evanescens Westwood (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae)'in laboratuvar koşullarında beş farklı sıcaklık (15, 20, 25, 30 ve 35 °C) ve iki farklı orantılı nem (% 60±5 ve % 80±5) koşullarında parazitlediği Ostrinia nubilalis Hübner (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) yumurta sayıları ile bu yumurtalardaki çıkış oranları, meydana getirdiği birey sayıları, parazitlenmiş bir O. nubilalis yumurtasından çıkış yapan T. evanescens sayıları ile eşey oranı araştırılmıştır. T. evanescens 'in parazitlediği O. nubilalis yumurta sayısı, en yüksek 25°C sıcaklık ve % 80 ±5 nemde (38.60 adet), en düşük 35°C sıcaklık ve % 60±5 nemde (8.05 adet); çıkış oranı (%98.74 ergin), meydana getirdiği birey sayıları (73.05 adet), parazitlediği bir O. nubilalis yumurtasından çıkış yapan parazitoid sayısı (2.1 adet) ile eşey oranı (5.13:1 dişi:erkek) en yüksek 30pC sıcaklıkta, en düşük 15°C ve 35°C sıcaklıklarda meydana gelmiştir. Farklı sıcaklık ve nem koşullarının T. evanescens 'in parazitleme oranı, çıkış oranı, parazitlediği O. nubilalis yumurtalarında meydana getirdiği birey sayıları ile eşey oranını etkileyen önemli birer faktör olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sıcaklık ve neme bağlı olarak elde edilen verilere göre parazitoidin gelişebilmesi için en uygun sıcaklığın 30 °C olduğu saptanmıştır.
