Abstract
The identification of proteus strains and their antibiotic susceptibilities with sceptor mic panels. Between 1.1.1995 and 1.12.1995 80 Proteus strains were isolated from clinical specimens. 55 of them were urine , 18 were gaita, 3 throath, 2 smears from external ear, 1 pleura and 1 was wound. As result 76 (%95) P. mirabilis, 3 (%3.75) P. vulgaris, and 1 (%1.25) P. penneri strains were identified. Their antibiotic susceptibilities were evaluated for 24 antibiotics and the sensitive strains were as follows: amikacin 78 (97.5%), amoxicillin/clav. 69 (86.25%), ampicillin 14 (17.5%), ampicillin/sulbactam 62 (77.5%), aztreonam 70 (86.25%), cefazolin 56 (70%), cefoperazone 65 (81.25%), cefoperazone/sulb. 62 (77.5%), cefotaxime 70 (87.6%), cefotetan 72 (90%), ceftazidime 68 (85%), ceftriaxone 74 (92.5%), cefuroxime 68 (85%), ciprofloxacin 79 (98.75%), gentamicin 65 (81.25%), imipenem 72 (90%), nitrofurantoin 0 (0%), norfloxacin 37 (46.25%), piperacillin 58 (72.5%), tetracyclin 4 (5%), ticarcillin 38 (47.5%), tobramycin 68 (85%), trimethoprim/sulfam. 31 (35%), trimethoprim 7 (10%).
Özet
1.1.1995-1.12.1995 tarihleri arasında Gaziantep Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Bakteriyoloji polikliniğine gelen örneklerden 80 proteus susu izole edildi. Örneklerin 55'i idrar, 18'i gaita, 3'ü boğaz, 1'i plevra, 1'i yara idi. Bunlar sceptor M/C İD panelleri ile tiplendirildi ve antibiyotik duyarlılıkları saptandı. Sonuçta 76 (%95) Proteus mirabilis, 3 (%3.75) P. vulgaris, 1 (%1.25) P. pennerisusu tespit edildi. Antibiyotik duyarlılıkları 24 antibiyotik için çalışıldı ve duyarlı sus oranları ise söyle tespit edildi.
