Abstract

Congenital proximal radioulnar synostosis (CPRUS) is a rare deformity. A 10 years old male with bilateral CPRUS, having fixed forearm deformity of 90 degrees pronation, was treated by derotational osteotomies through the synostosis of the right and left forearms, respectively. The positions planned preoperatively were secured and the functional difficulties to perform activities of daily living caused by hyperpronation deformity were eliminated. The follow-up period for right (dominant) and left limbs was 25 and 13 months. No early or late complications were observed in both operations.
