Mehmet Emin Yurdakul’s children poem

Abstract

Children poems have been also written during the period of westernized Turkish literature beginning Tanzimat. Since then children’s poems anthologies appeared in Turkish literature. In this connection the poets, Ali Ulvi, İbrahim Alâettin Gövsa and Tevfik Fikret mights be mentioned as the poets who wrote children poems; but Mehmet Emin has been forgotten in this field. Infact, he is interested in youth and children in his poems beside the ones he wrote specially for children. This paper discuses children poems of Mehmet Emin in terms of forms, content and style.

Özet

Tanzimat’la başlayan Batılı edebiyatımızda çocuklara yönelik şiirler de yazılır. Çocuk şiirleri seçkileri ve kitapları oluşur. Bu konuda bizde ilk akla gelen şairler, Ali Ulvi, İbrahim Alâettin Gövsa ve Tevfik Fikret olur. Mehmet Emin ise bu alanda unutulanlardan biridir. O, hem genel olarak şiirlerinde gençleri ve çocukları ele alır hem çocuklar için özel şiirler yazar. Bu makalede Mehmet Emin’in çocuklara yönelik şiirleri biçim, öz ve üslup yönünden ele alınacaktır.
