Lee Ufan s paintings, the dialogue

Abstract

This research is a study on Lee Ufan s paintings, The Dialogue. The reason why it was choosen as the topic of study is to put forward insistently the harmony of body, soul and mind ignored and discussed because of the extensive usage of facilities provided by hightechonogly. Ufan who concentrates on the thought and moment via using traditional paint-brush-canvas disregards the side of art which need skill. In the chaos of hyperreality of the age, he emphasizes the importance of noticing the reality of simplicity and moment with interaction of the idea of East-West. Ufan created his paintings, The Dialogue with the forms of point look like sometimes one, sometimes two or more squares that he did with his large brush on big, white space of the surface of canvas. While the artist prefer to reduce colour and shape, he tends to think deeply via putting forward the act of painting, itself.

Özet

Bu araştırma, Lee Ufanın Diyalog adlı resimleri üzerine bir incelemedir. Diyalog resimlerinin araştırma konusu olarak seçilmesi, Ufanın; günümüzde yüksek teknolojinin sağladığı olanakların yaygın kullanımı nedeniyle ihmal edilen ve tartışılan bedenin, ruhun ve zihnin uyumlu birlikteliğini ısrarla öne çıkarmasıdır. Geleneksel boya-fırça-tuval kullanarak düşünceye ve ana yoğunlaşan Ufan, sanatın beceri isteyen yanını önemsemez. Çağın hipergerçeklik karmaşasında, Doğu-Batı düşüncesinin etkileşimi ile yalınlığın ve anın gerçekliğini farkedebilmenin önemini vurgular. Diyalog resimlerini Ufan, tuval yüzeyinin büyük beyaz boşluğuna, geniş fırçasıyla yaptığı bazen tek, bazen iki ya da daha fazla kareye benzeyen nokta biçimlerle oluşturmuştur. Sanatçı, renkte ve biçimde aza indirgemeyi tercih ederken, resim yapma eyleminin kendisini öne çıkararak derin düşünmeye yönelir.
