Repellent Effect of Essential Oils from Some Thyme Specıes on Two Spotted Spıder Mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch, Acari: Tetranychidae)

Bazı Kekik Türlerinden Elde Edilen Uçucu Yağların İki Noktalı Kırmızı Örümcek (Tetranychus urticae Koch, Acari: Tetranychidae) Üzerine Repellant Etkisi

Abstract

This study has been carried out between 2015 and 2016 in Tokat province. It was investigated repellent effects of five Labiatae (Lamiaceae) species (Origanum onites L.,Origanum vulgare L., Origanum majorana L., Thymbra spicata L. and Thymus vulgaris L.) of essential oils. The repellents effect of essential oils were obtained from thyme were applied against adult females of Two Spotted Spider Mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) with four different concentration (0,5%, 1%, 2%, 4% µl/l). After the 24 hours, repellent effects of O. onites, O. vulgare, O. majorana, T. spicata and T. vulgaris were found 98,4%, 83,8%, 74,2%, 71,5% and 75,5% respectively. In addition, the 24 hour after the application, LC50 and LC90 values were calculated and O. onites LC50=8,01-LC90=33,9, O. vulgare LC50=7,02-LC90=32,7, O. majorana LC50=7,93-LC90= 146,38 were found respectively. The experiment was designed by four repetitions and repeated three times. As a result of the study, it was determined that O. onites was the most effective plant, and it was showing repellent effect by five species of thyme plants.

Bu çalışma 2015-2016 yıllarında Tokat İli’nde yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada Labiatae (Lamiaceae) türleri(Origanum onites L.,Origanum vulgare L., Origanum majorana L., Thymbra spicata L. ve Thymus vulgarisL.)’nin uçucu yağları incelenmiştir. Kekik türlerinden elde edilen uçucu yağların dört farklı dozu (%0,5, %1, %2,%4 µl/l)’nun İki noktalı kırmızı örümcek (Tetranychus urticae Koch)’e karşı repellent etki gözlemlenmiştir. 24saat sonra O. onites, O. vulgare, O. majorana, T. spicata ve T. vulgaris’in repellent etkileri sırasıyla 98,4%,83,8%, 74,2%, 71,5% and 75,5%’dir. Ayrıca 24. saatin sonunda LC50 ve LC90 değerleri hesaplanmıştır vesırasıyla LC50=8,01-LC90=33,9, O. vulgare LC50=7,02-LC90=32,7, O. majorana LC50=7,93-LC90= 146,38 olarakbulunmuştur. Deneme 4 tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuş ve 3 kez tekrar edilmiştir. Bu çalışma sonucunda ele alınan 5kekik bitkisi içinde repellent etki yönünden en etkili tür O. onites olarak tespit edilmiştir
