Abstract
This study was aimed to determine the effects of different water stress levels on plant water consumption (ET), physiological properties (leaf temperature, stomatal conductivity, chlorophyll index, leaf relative water content), morphological features (plant height, plant diameter, the number of flowers, the number of petal, the length of the petal, the width of the petal and the diameter of the flower) and the characteristics of the harvest (root length, root dry weight, plant wet weight, plant dry weight) of two different types of primula varieties (white and purple flowered). The study was carried out at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Agriculture, Plant Stress Monitoring and Thermography Laboratory (COSMOTLAB) in 2019. During the experiment, the temperature was kept at 20 °C and 16/8 hours of photoperiod application was made. In the experiment, four different irrigation treatments (complementing 100% control, 75%, 50% and 25% of the usable water holding capacity of the moisture decreasing in the pot with 7 days intervals) were created. Physiological and morphological measurements were made in all plants before each irrigation. As a result of the study, the total ET values obtained during the trial were found to be 83-117 mm and 78-116 mm, respectively, in purple and white flowered primula varieties. It was observed that the effect of water stress on the physiological characteristics measured within the scope of the study was higher than the morphological and post-harvest measurements in both varieties. In addition, when the varieties on the same water stress were compared, it was observed that the number of flowers and flower diameter values in purple flowered primula were higher than those of the white colored primula in terms of morphological measurements. As a result, it can be said that both types of primula show similar responses under water stress conditions
Özet
Bu çalışmada, farklı su stresi seviyelerinin iki farklı (beyaz ve mor çiçekli) çuha çeşidinin bitki sutüketimine (ET), fizyolojik özelliklerine (yaprak sıcaklığı, stoma iletkenliği, klorofil indeksi, yaprak oransal suiçeriği), morfolojik özelliklerine (bitki boyu, bitki çapı, çiçek sayısı, petal sayısı, petal uzunluğu, petal eni veçiçek çapı) ve hasat özelliklerine (kök uzunluğu, kök kuru ağırlığı, bitki yaş ağırlığı, bitki kuru ağırlığı)etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
