Özet

Araştırma, Batıkent 1 No'lu Sağlık Ocağı Bölgesi'ne bağlı Kaya Bayazıtoğlu Lisesi Yabancı Dil Ağırlıklı Lise Kısmı 3. Sınıf öğrencilerinin katılımı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada öğrencilerin beslenme alışkanlıkları, kantin kullanımları ve bazı antropometrik ölçümlerin birtakım sosyo-demografik değişkenlerle ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Kesitsel tipteki araştırmada toplam 171 öğrenciye (%96.1) ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin boy ve ağırlıkları ölçülerek beden kitle indeksleri (BKİ) hesaplanmış; kız öğrencilerin boy uzunluk ortalaması 163.5 cm, ağırlık ortalaması 57.1 kg, erkek öğrencilerin boy uzunluk ortalaması 178.3 cm, ağırlık ortalaması 66.6 kg bulunmuştur. Ölçüm sonuçlarına göre hesaplanan BKİ ortalaması kızlarda 21.3 kg/m2, erkeklerde 20.9 kg/m2'dir. Öğrencilerin %64.3'ü günde üç öğün yemek yemekte, %62.6'sı öğünler arasında besin tüketmektedir. Süt içme yüzdesi son derece düşük olup; %38'i haftada bir gün içmekte, %28.17 hiç içmemektedir. Katılımcıların %49.1 'i her gün meyve tüketmektedir, %2.9'u ise hiç meyve tüketmemektedir. Öğrencilerin %14'ü okul kantininden alışveriş yapmamaktadır. Araştırmanın sonucunda öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun BKİ normal sınırlar içinde bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin BKİ normal sınırlarda olmasına rağmen öğrenciler yanlış beslenme alışkanlıklarına sahiptir. Bu nedenle başta öğrenciler olmak üzere aileleri ve okul yöneticileri sağlıklı beslenme konusunda bilgilendirilmişlerdir.
