Porland limestone cements: A Global approach of their production: Properties and use

Abstract
In this paper the main factors affecting the properties of Portland limestone cements are discussed while the hydration behavior of the limestone cements is examined. In addition, the intergrin.ding process, concerning the production of the limestone cements, is studied. Finally the properties and the behavior of limestone cement concrete as well as the corrosion behavior of limestone cement mortar are investigated. It is concluded that the fineness of clinker and limestone are strongly connected with the limestone stength and generally demand less water than the relative pure cements. The limestone addition improves the clinker reactivity and the exploitation of its hydraulic potential. The Portland limestone cements indicate competitive concrete properties and improve the corrosion performance of the concrete.

Bu makelede kalkerli çimentoların hidratasyon davranışları incelenirken, portland kalkerli çimentoların özelliklerini etkileyen ana faktörler de tartışıldı, ilave olarak kalkerli çimentoların üretimiyle ilgili olarak birarada öğütme prosesi incelendi. Son olarak kalkerli çimento harçlarının korozyon davranışlarına ilaveten kalkerli çimento betonunun özellikleri ve davranışları incelendi. Klinker ve kalkerlerin inceliğinin kalkerin içeriğine ve çimentonun inceliğine kuvvetli bir şekilde bağlı olduğu sonucuna varıldı. Kalkerli çimentolar tatmin edici bir dayanım ve genel olarak göreceli saf çimentodan daha az su talebi gösterdi. Kalker ilavesi, klinkerin reaktifliğini ve hidrolik potansiyelinden istifadeyi geliştirdi. Portland kalkerli çimento rekabet edecek beton özellikleri gösterdi ve betonun aşınma performansını geliştirdi.
