Effects of cement type on concrete maturity

Abstract
Maturity is a term that defines the combined effects of time and temperature on concrete properties. Since 1940's, many maturity functions have been proposed. However, most of the functions were only tested for ordinary portland cements. The investigations on maturity for different types of cement are inconclusive. For investigating the effects of maturity, different concrete classes were prepared with cements produced in Turkey. The results revealed that Nurse-Saul and equivalent age functions were applicable to other types of cements.
Özet
Olgunluk sıcaklık ve zamanın betonun özellikleri üzerindeki ortak etkisini tanımlayan bir terimdir. 1940' lardan beri birçok olgunluk fonksiyonu önerilmiştir. Fakat bu fonksiyonların çoğunluğu yalnızca normal portland çimentoları için test edilmiştir. Farklı çimento tipleri için olgunluk çalışmaları yetersizdir. Olgunluğun etkilerini incelemek için Türkiye'de üretilen çimentolarla farklı beton sınıfları hazırlanmıştır. Test sonuçları Nurse-Saul ve eşdeğer yaş fonksiyonlarının diğer çimento tipleri içinde uygulanabilir olduğunu göstermiştir.
