Large-scale lab automition with QCX/RoboLab

Abstract
A decade and some 50 project installations after the launch of the QCXRoboLab system FLS Automation (FLSA) received in the late 1990'es orders for a couple of very large lab automation projects in Taiwan and Mexico. Both of these large automation projects are based on integrated double robot cells with built-in operational redundancy, and both these installations have now been successfully handed over to the respective clients. This article presents the project details of the very large QCX/RoboLab system now in operation at TCC Hoping, Taiwan with particular focus on the redundancy aspects of the dual robot cell concept.
