Protection status and nature conservation in Turkey and in the World

Abstract

Increasing nature conservation and environmental protection concepts in Turkey and in the World are aimed at prevention of environmental damage, alleviation and protection of present ecosystem components and species biodiversity conservation at the national, regional and global levels. To achieve these goals establishment of protected areas and their worldwide extension are foreseen. Work necessary for the inscrip-tion, implementation, planning, financial issues, legal status, international cooperation and public education are given. Protected areas and similar conservation status are discussed.

Özet

Türkiye'de ve Dünyada gelişen çevre korumacılık kavramları ulusal, bölgesel ve global seviyede çevre tahribinin önlenmesi, azaltılması ve mevcut ekosistem öğelerinin ve tür çeşitliliğinin korunmasını hedeflemektedir. Hedeflere ulaşmak için koruma alanları kurulması ve Dünya çapında yaygınlaştırılması amaçlanmaktadır. Bunların idaresi için tespit, uygulama, planlama, finansman, hukuki düzenlemeler, milletlerarası işbirliği ve kamuoyunun bilgilendirilmesi ile ilgili çalışmalar anlatılarak koruma alanları ve benzer koruma statüleri tartışılmaktadır.
