2005 yılı Hans Christian Andersen'in 200. Doğum Yıldönümüne işaret eder. Sadece Danimarka'nın masal yazarı olarak değil fakat dünya çapında masalların babası olarak bilinen Andersen çokça okunur ve çevrilir. Bu nedenle Türkçe de çevrilen dillerden biridir. Bu makalenin amacı Andersen'in masallarından birisi olan "Kurşun Asker" masalının çevirisini betimleyici çeviri çalışmaları ve eleştirisi çerçevesinde incelemektir. Model olarak José Lambert ve Hendrick Van Gorp'un modeli masalın çevirisini incelemek için seçilmiştir. Bu masal Andersen'in büyüleyici masallarından birisidir ve gururlu, cesur, trajik bir karakter hakkındadır. Makale dört bölüme ayrılmaktadır. Birinci bölüm yazar ve biçeminden bahseder. İkinci bölüm kısaca Türkçeye çevrilen masallardan söz eder. Üçüncü bölüm "Kurşun Asker" başlıklı masalın olay örgüsüne odaklanır. Dördüncü bölüm Jose Lambert ve Hendrick Van Gorp'un betimleyici çeviri çalışmaları modelinin "Kurşun Asker" masalının çevirisine uygulanmasını inceler. Sonuncu bölüm bu modelin uygulanmasının bir masal çevirisi için uygun olduğunu önerir.
Abstract
The year 2005 marks the 200th anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen . Not only known as a Danish writer of fairy tales but also known worldwide as the father of fairy tales, he is widely read and translated. Hence, Turkish is one of the languages that he is translated into. The aim of this article is to deal with the translation of one of Andersen's fairy tales, "The Steadfast Tin-Soldier" within the frame of descriptive translation studies and criticism. As a model José Lambert and Hendrick Van Gorp is chosen to examine the translation of the fairy tale. This is one of the fascinating fairy tales of Andersen and is about a proud, tragic character. The article is divided into four sections. The first part presents the writer and his style. The second part discusses the translation of the fairy tale into Turkish very briefly. The third part focuses on the plot of "The Steadfast Tin-Soldier". The fourth part examines José Lambert and Hendrick Van Gorp's model on describing translations and its application to the translation of "The Steadfast Tin-Soldier". The last part suggests that the application of the model is suitable for a fairy tale.
