Reading Comprehension Education: A Discussion on Virtual Versus Traditional Text

Abstract

Scentijtc studies in recent years can be regarded as a revolution in reading comprehension education. In this development, the most amazing point is the fact that reading comprehension education has snitched from a product-focused structure to a progress-jheused structure. Changes in reading text, partly due to the developments in technology, affected alt variables that are important in the process of reading comprehension, hi the present study, comprehension processes in "linear text" which is defined as the traditional text and "hypertext" which is defined as the virtual text are discussed. Additionaly, whether or not hypertext can be an alternative to the traditional text is discussed.

Son yıllarda okuma eğitiminde yapılan bilimsel çalışmalar bir devrim niteliği taşımaktadır. Bu süreçte en dikkat çekici nokta ise okuduğunu kavrama eğitiminin ürün odaklı olmaktan çıkıp, süreç odaklı bir noktaya taşınmasıdır. Bit bağlamda teknolojinin de etkisiyle ukımıa metinlerindeki değişme, okuduğunu kavrama sürecinin bütün değişkenlerini de etkiler konumdadır. Bu makalede, geleneksel metin olarak tanımladığımı: "linear test" ve sanal metin olarak tanımladığımız "hypertext" i kavrama süreci ana hatlarıyla açıklanmakta ve sanal metnin alternatif bir metin olup alamayacağına ilişkin yorumlara yer verilmektedir.
