Abstract
A variety of clinical procedures such as tooth extraction, periodontal and endodontic treatment, may cause translocation of microorganisms from the oral cavity to the bloodstream. Massive cervicofacial abscesses of dental origin are relatively rare, and may be associated with serious and grave morbidity. In extreme cases, an occasional fatality may result from regional complications. We examined under the light of literature this case which caused the cervicommamarian necrotizing soft tissue infection due to dental abscess.
