Abstract
Splenic artery aneurysms although rare, are the most common visceral artery aneurysms and are known for their potential for rupture. Pregnancy and portal hypertension have been known as major risk factors Its clinical importance is due to its high mortality when it is ruptured. Most cases of splenic artery aneurysm are asymptomatic and diagnosed incidentally. The current therapeutic menu of the splenic artery aneurysm includes surgery, catheter embolization, or laparoscopic ligation. The final choice or combination of the options will depend on the anatomy of the aneurysm, the medical condition of the patient, the availability and skill of those who can perform the interventions. in this paper we evaluated radiologic and surgical finding and treatment methods in two patients with splenic artery aneurysm.
