Abstract

The biological behavior and prognosis of soft tissue leiomyosarcoma vary with location. Tumors in superficial soft tissue show relatively a good prognosis as compared to those in deep location. However, superficial leiomosarcomas originating from the skin and subcutaneous tissue are divided into two categories as cutaneous and subcutaneous that have clearly different features for local recurrence and metastasis. In this study, we report, three cases of superficial leiomoyosarcoma with the ages of 31, 58 and 49 years, respectively. Their clinical, histopathological and immunohistochemical findings are presented and discussed.
