Abstract

As an insidous and hardly diagnosed disease, parathyroid adenoma usually appears with nonspecific signs and symptoms or as a component of a syndrome. Even after its diagnosis, localization difficulties of the adenoma, the need for highly talented surgical experience and with its complications, it is a challenging disease still preserving its dangerous and insidous character seen more seldom than before by young surgeons. Our aim via representing this case is to emphasize any delay in the diagnosis of the underlying cause may lead to neurosurgical operation because of bone pain and nerve compression followed by spontaneous pelvic fractures which caused the patient not walk anymore and to express the difficulties before and after diagnosis, which she has experienced and any patient could have experienced.
