Abstract
This Study investigates the relationship between Turkey s current account deficit and budget deficit and investment-saving deficit.The study used the data between 1980- 2012; however, since the variables were non-stationary in level, the cointegration relatonship between the variables were found by using Engle-Granger two step procedure and DOLS method. As a result, a long term relatonship was found between current account deficit, budget deficit and investment-saving deficit.
Özet
Bu çalışmada; Türkiye de cari açığın bütçe açığı ve yatırım-tasarruf açığı ile ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. 1980-2012 dönemi verileri kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen uygulamada, değişkenler düzey durağan olmadığından, Engle-Granger iki aşamalı yöntemi ve DOLS (Dynamic Ordinary Least Square) yöntemi kullanılarak değişkenler arasındaki eşbütünleşme ilişkisi tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, cari açığın, bütçe açığı ve yatırım-tasaruf açığı arasında uzun dönemli bir ilişkisinin varlığı tespit edilmiştir.
