The Context of the Communal Space Economy-Politics of Migration in Sivas

Abstract
The migration phenomenon that exists in every period of history, it has gained momentum with the influence of the neo-liberal restructuring policies that have been implemented since the 1970s. In this process of increasing the mobility and density of the capital, the cities developing that the capital has the most favorable conditions for investment and can provide profitability for the capital; the cities declining that it has not these opportunities economic and demographic perspectives. In addition to this effect of neoliberal on spatial structure, it’s policies that increase social inequalities, poverty and unemployment have also been factors that played a role in the reshaping of the spatial distribution of the population. In this study, the transformation in the capitalist accumulation model has been tried to examine the effects on the migration process in Sivas.
Özet
Tarihin her döneminde var olan göç olgusu, 1970’lerden itibaren uygulanmaya başlanan neo-liberal yeniden yapılanma politikalarının etkisiyle büyük bir ivme kazanmıştır. Sermayenin hareketliliğinin ve yoğunluğunun arttığı bu süreçte, sermayeye karlılık sağlayabilecek, yatırım için en uygun koşullara sahip kentler gelişirken; bu imkânlara sahip olmayan kentler ekonomik ve demografik açılardan gerilemektedir. Neo-liberalizmin mekânsal yapı üzerindeki bu etkisinin yanı sıra toplumsal eşitsizliklerin, işsizliğin ve yoksulluğun artmasına sebep olan politikaları da nüfusun mekânsal dağılımının yeniden şekillenmesinde rol oynayan etkenler olmuşlardır. Bu çalışmada kapitalist birikim modellerindeki dönüşümün Sivas İlinde yaşanan göç süreci üzerindeki etkileri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır.
