University Students' Satisfaction Survey in Distance Education Courses: Âşık Veysel Vocational School Case Study

Abstract
Distance education is an institutional educational activity where students, teachers, and teaching materials in different places are brought together through various communication technologies. Nowadays, distance education programs that provide independent education from time and space are increasing day by day and bring many discussions together. In the present study, distance education perspectives students will be evaluated and satisfaction levels will be measured. In the analysis procedure, frequency, t test, chi - square and factor analysis, ANOVA test will be done by using the SPSS 21 package program. Satisfaction with the education can be examined with an approach that includes different dimensions such as educational quality, physical spaces, offered application resources, social cultural and sportive resources and individual characteristics of the student. It has been determined that the satisfaction levels of the students of Âşık Veysel Vocational School are also affected by these dimensions. Distance education institutions should closely follow the technology and offer more effective services that will please the students by avoiding a standard teaching service. It is necessary to improve the laboratory environment where the students can apply. It is also necessary to provide necessary technological infrastructure.
Özet
Uzaktan eğitim farklı mekânlardaki öğrenci, öğretmen ve öğretim materyallerinin çeşitli iletişim teknolojileri aracılığıyla bir araya getirildiği kurumsal bir eğitim faaliyetidir. Günümüzde zamandan ve mekândan bağımsız eğitim imkânı sunan uzaktan eğitim programları gün geçtikçe artmakta ve beraberinde birçok tartışmayı getirmektedir. Bu çalışmada öğrencilerin uzaktan eğitime bakış açıları değerlendirilecek ve memnuniyet düzeyleri ölçülecektir.Veriler anket yöntemiyle veri elde edilecek olup, SPSS 21 paket programında frekans, t testi ki – kare analizi, faktör analizi ANOVA testi yapılacaktır. Ankette kullanılan önermeler araştırmacıların hazırlayacağı sorulardan oluşacaktır.Eğitim kalitesi, fiziki mekânlar, sunulan uygulama olanakları, sosyal kültürel ve sportif olanaklar ve öğrencinin bireysel özellikleri gibi farklı boyutları da içeren bir yaklaşımla incelenebilir. Âşık Veysel Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin memnuniyet düzeylerinin de bu olgulardan etkilendiği tespit edilmiştir.Uzaktan eğitim veren kurumlar teknolojiyi yakından takip etmeli, öğrencilerine standart bir öğretim hizmeti sunmaktan kaçınarak, öğrencileri memnun edecek daha etkili hizmetler sunabilmelidir. Öğrencilerin uygulama yapabilecekleri laboratuvar ortamlarının iyileştirilmesi, gerekli teknolojik alt yapının sunulması gerekmektedir.
