Abstract
With the lifting of censorship of the press and publishing after the announcement of the Second Constitution (İkinci Meşrutiyet), among the periodical publications with broad-ranging contents was The Journal of Economic and Social Sciences, a high-quality journal aimed at intellectuals and which formed a platform for predominantly liberal and generally positivist thought. In this article, the writings in the journal are examined under two main headings - economic and social. All articles published in the journal have been scrutinized and after being categorized based on the topics they deal with, information has been provided for important writers in every category. Under the category of economics the topics of agriculture, trade, transportation, indebtedness and the stock exchange predominate. Education, art, morality, history, law, philosophy and sociology the most frequently treated social topics.

Ulûm-ı İktisadiye ve İçtimaiye Mecmuası, II. Meşrutiyetin ilânından sonra basın yayın hayatında sansürün kalkmasıyla içerik açısından geniş bir yelpaze oluşturan süreli yayınlar arasında entelektüel kesime hitap eden nitelikli mecmualardan biri olup, genel olarak pozitivist ve liberal düşüncenin hâkim olduğu bir platform oluşturmuştur. Bu makalede mecmuada yer alan yazılar iktisadî ve içtimaî olmak üzere iki ana başlıkta incelenmektedir. Mecmuada yayınlanan bütün makaleler gözden geçirilmiş ve ele alınan konulara göre kategorize edildikten sonra her kategoride yer alan önemli yazılar hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İktisadî açıdan tarım, ticaret, ulaşım, borçlanma, borsa konularında yoğunluk görülmektedir. Eğitim, sanat, ahlâk, tarih, hukuk, felsefe ve toplumbilimleri ele alınan başlıca içtimaî konulardır.
