Sociodemographic and psychopathologic features of children WHO admitted to a state hospital in Agean Region

Abstract
With the recognition of biopsychosocial approach in child psychiatry, environmental factors also began to be considered when evaluating the cases. In this study, sociodemografic and psychopathologic features of the 200 children who applied to a state hospital, where out - patient service of child psychiatry newly started, within three months were evaluated. It was determined that the most of the applications were male (66.5%) and between the ages of 7-12 (51%). At the end of psychiatric evaluation, the features of developmental periods were the most frequent reason were given. Three percent of the patients were refered to university hospitals for further evaluation. The results were discussed with related references.

Çocuk psikiyatrisinde biyopsikososyal yaklaşımın kabul görmesiyle birlikte hastaları değerlendirmede çevresel faktörlerin üzerinde de durulmaya başlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, çocuk psikiyatrisi poliklinik hizmetlerinin ilk kez verilmeye başlandığı bir devlet hastanesinde çocuk psikiyatrisi polikliniğine 3 ay içerisinde başvuran toplam 200 hastanın sosyodemografik ve psikopatalojik özellikleri değerlendirilmiştir. Başvuranların çoğunun 7-12 yaşlar arasında (%51) ve erkek (%66.5) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Psikiyatrik değerlendirme sonucunda en sık gelişimsel dönem özelliklerine rastlanmış ve rehberlik hizmeti verilmiştir. Hastaların yalnızca %3'ü ileri tetkik için eğitim ve araştırma hastanelerine sevk edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular konuyla ilgili literatür eşliğinde tartışılmıştır.
