Abstract
The therapeutic use of autologous platelet-richfibrin constitutes a relatively new biotechnologythat has been a breakthrough in the stimulation andacceleration of soft-tissue and bone healing. Theefficiency of this process lies in the local andcontinuous delivery of a wide range of growthfactors and proteins, mimicking the needs of thephysiological wound healing and reparative tissueprocesses.Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) belongs to a newgeneration of platelet concentrates, with simplifiedprocessing and without biochemical bloodhandling. This easy protocol allows the productionof leukocyte and platelet-rich fibrin clots startingfrom autologous blood samples. PRF is used especially in clinical Periodontaland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery applications.The significance of the PRF is gradually increasing

Trombositten zengin otoj en ürünlerin tedaviamacı ile kullanılması, güncel bir yaklaşım olarakdikkati çekmektedir. Sert ve yumuşak dokuiyileşmelerinde kullanılan ve çok çeşitli büyümefaktörleri ve proteinlerin kontrollü salınımlarınıiçeren bu preparatların doğal yara iyileşmesi içingerekli olan maddeleri yoğun olarak içerdikleribilinmektedir.Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), yeni jenerasyontrombositten zengin otojen ürün olarakbilinmektedir. Kolay uygulanabilir ve biyokimyasalherhangi bir işlem gerektirmeyen PRF protokolü,kişinin kendisinden alınan kan örneklerindenlökositten ve trombositten zengin bir otologbiyomateryal elde edilmesine izin vermektedir. Diş Hekimliğinde özellikle Periodontoloji veAğız, Diş ve Çene Cerrahisindeki klinikuygulamalarda kullanılmaya başlanan PRFninönemi giderek artmaktadır.
