Abstract

Objectives: The aim of this study was toinvestigate the effects of hemostatic agents to thecolor change of dental tissues. Materials and Methods: 40 extracted humanthird molars which are not affected by caries usedin this study. Occlusal surfaces removed to obtainflat dentinal surfaces and teeth mounted acrylic.Specimens were divided into four groups of 10 tobe tested four different hemostatic agents. Preparedtooth groups were aplied hemostatik agent(Hemoban, Sultan®, USA; Hemospad, Dentsply,Germany; Ankafert Blood Stopper©, Ankafert,Turkey; Hemostatic solution, WP dental,Germany). Before and after application ofhemostatic agents to flat surface of teeth, L*a*b*values were measured with a colorimeter(Easyshade® Compact, VITA, Germany), andΔE*ab values were calculated. Amaç: Bu çalışmada, hemostatik ajanlarındental dokuların renk değişikliği üzerindekietkilerinin in vitro ortamda incelenmesiamaçlanmaktadır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmada çürüktenetkilenmemiş 40 adet çekilmiş insan 3. molar dişkullanıldı. Dişlerin okluzal yüzeylerindeki mine,düz bir dentin yüzeyi elde etmek için kaldırıldı vedişler akrilik bloklar içerisine yerleştirildi.Örnekler, rastgele seçilerek 4 gruba ayrıldı (n=10).Hazırlanan gruplara 4 farklı kanama durdurucuajan uygulandı; G1:Hemoban (Sultan®, ABD),G2: Ankaferd Blood Stopper© (Ankaferd, Türkiye), G3: Hemostatic solution (WP dental,Almanya), G4:Hemospad (Dentsply, Almanya).Hazırlanan dentin yüzeylerine kanama durdurucuajanlar uygulanmadan önce ve uygulandıktansonraki CIE L *a*b* değerleri bir kolorimetre(Easyshade® Compact, VITA, Almanya) aracılığıile ölçüldü ve ΔE*ab değerleri hesaplandı.Grupların renk değişikliği değerleri Kruskall- Wallis H ve Mann-Whitney U testleri ilekarşılaştırıldı (p =0.05).
