Abstract
On iki çalışma grubu oluşturuldu.
Objectives: The aim of present study was to evaluatethe effect of different factors on the stress distributionof a molar tooth by finite element analysis.Materials and Methods: A 3D tooth model of amaxillary molar tooth was created for present study. The cavities (Class I and Class II) were created in thecomputer model. The cavities were restored with threedifferent restorative materials (resin composite, amalgam and glass ionomer cement) in the computermodel. Two thermal load (5 ºC and 55 ºC) and twomechanical load (mechanical singular loadperpendicular and mechanical distributed loadperpendicular) used in this study. Twelve study groupswere created. The von Mises stress distribution wasevaluated. Results: Von Mises stress values were not statisticallysignificant different among the groups for restorativematerial and mechanical load factors (p>0.05) whilethere were statistically significant differences amongthe groups for cavity geometry and thermal loadfactors (p
