Action of metal salts on $alpha$-benzoinoxime

Abstract

Cobalt (II) nickel (II) and copper (II) salts reacted with $alpha$-benzoinoxime in polar and nou-polar solvents to give mono-, di- and trimetallated porducts via replacement of hydroxy hydrogen followed bv electrophilic substitution on (Organic moiety, bond cleavages and bond formation. The mechanism of the reactions were studied. The structures were confirmed by analytical data, IR, UV and mass spectra.
