Abstract
David Hume eliminates the role of natural passion in the sympathy system in creating social behaviour since he cannot find a natural passion which can start the process without selfinterest. In this respect the acceptance of innate goodness appears more plausible as the basis for forming a society. Only goodness can play a vital role in transforming self-interest into a starting point of attaining a society. Conventional justice is an adaptation of the individual virtue of justice. This paper principally examines the inconsistencies of Humean system developing the artificial virtue of justice that is useful for the well-being of society.
