Synthesis of Some Novel Alkoxysilyl-functionalized Ionic Liquids

Abstract

The field of ionic liquid (IL) compounds has recently become one of the popular topics because of itsgreen chemistry potential and superior properties. A series of some novel alkoxysilyl-functionalizedionic liquids that containing different hydrophobic chains have been synthesized and their structureswere identified by an infrared spectrometer (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR).Thermal stabilities of synthesized ionic liquids were investigated. The new ionic liquid compounds aregood candidates for different application areas due to their functional group which involves easyattachment of them on the surface of supporting materials.
