The Importance of Management Planning Function in Tourism Business

Abstract

It is known that planning function is very important in tourism enterprises. The planning function is a program for the enterprises to follow the next step. Tourism sector has a variable structure and uncertainties regarding tourism enterprises. In order to use these uncertainties in the interests of the enterprise, the enterprises make short, medium and long term plans. It is impossible for tourism enterprises to continue to exist in the sector without planning. It is known that tourism enterprises can minimize the problems that may occur by a working plan for internal environment and external environment elements. Therefore, the management function of the management is very important for tourism enterprises in the tourism sector as in every sector. In this study, literature research has been done regarding the importance of management's planning function for tourism enterprises.

Özet

Turizm işletmelerinde planlama fonksiyonunun son derece önemli olduğu bilinmektedir. Planlama fonksiyonu işletmelerin bir sonraki aşamada nasıl bir yol izleyeceklerine dair yapılan program niteliğindedir. Turizm sektörü değişken bir yapıya sahip olduğu için turizm işletmeleri açısından da belirsizlikler kendini göstermektedir. Bu belirsizlikleri işletmenin menfaatleri doğrultusunda kullanabilmek için işletmeler kısa, orta ve uzun vade planları yapmaktadır. Plan yapılmadan turizm işletmelerinin sektörde varlığını sürdürmesi olanaksızdır. İç çevre ve dış çevre unsurları için turizm işletmelerinin çalışma planı yaparak oluşabilecek sıkıntıları minimize edebilecekleri bilinmektedir. Dolayısıyla yönetimin planlama fonksiyonu her sektörde olduğu gibi turizm sektöründe varlığını sürdüren turizm işletmeleri için oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmada yönetimin planlama fonksiyonunun turizm işletmeleri açısından önemi konusunda literatür araştırması yapılmıştır.
