Educational Activities and Problems of 4-6 Age Group Qur’an Courses (Sample of Zonguldak Province)

Abstract

The Administration of Religious Affairs of Turkey carries out activities to enlighten and guide the society in religious matters. In this context, following the abolition of the age limit to learn the Qur’an, the Administration of Religious Affairs launched the 4-6 Age Group Qur’an Courses curriculum. These Qur’an courses are of great importance in terms of coinciding with the preschool period, which is considered one of the most important periods in the development of the individual in the age of 4-6 years. This study has been prepared in order to determine the status of educational activities and current problems of the 4-6 Age Group Qur’an Courses, which have been implemented in 2013-2014 academic year and whose number has increased rapidly until today. For this purpose, 32 instructors working in Zonguldak and Çaycuma districts were interviewed and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 11 instructors. Based on the data obtained from the research, it was concluded that the education and training activities carried out in the courses were carried out in accordance with the purpose despite some deficiencies. The main deficiencies determined in the Qur’an Courses are lack of physical conditions, insufficiency of curriculum in terms of its suitability for the students’ level and some problems stemming from the administrators and students.

Ülkemizde toplumu dini konularda aydınlatma ve rehberlik etme görevi yüklenenDiyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, Kur’an öğrenmede yaş sınırının kaldırılmasının ardındantoplumun beklentilerini de göz önüne alarak bireyin gelişiminin en önemli dönemlerindenbiri kabul edilen okul öncesi döneme yönelik din hizmeti sunmak amacıyla 4-6 Yaş GrubuKur’an Kursları öğretim programını faaliyete geçirmiştir.Bu çalışma, 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında uygulamaya konulan ve günümüzekadar sayıları hızla artan 4-6 Yaş Grubu Kur’an Kurslarında eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerinindurumunu ve bu kursların güncel problemlerini belirlemek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır.Bu amaçla Zonguldak merkez ve Çaycuma ilçesinde görev yapan 32 öğreticiye anketuygulanmış ve 11 öğretici ile de yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat yapılmıştır. Araştırmadaelde edilen verilerden hareketle, kurslarda sürdürülen eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerinin birtakım eksiklerle birlikte amacına uygun olarak gerçekleştirildiği, ancak öğretimprogramının öğrenci seviyesine yeterince uygun olmaması, fiziki durum yetersizliği,yönetici ve öğrencilerden kaynaklanan bazı problemlerin olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
