Sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma: Case presentation

Abstract
Sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma is very rare and the prognosis is worse than epithelial type. Sarcomatoid carcinoma diagnosis is done when epilhelial component is present in the sarcomatoid tumor. If epithelial elements are focal in distributions and the tissue sampling does not include the epithelial elements, false primary sarcoma diagnosis may be made. In our laboratory we have studied one sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma with routine hematoxylen-eosine and immunohistochemical stains. The results evaluated with current data in the literature.
Özet
Sarkomatoid renal hücreli karsinoma (SRHK) oldukça ender görülür ve prognozu saf epitelial tipinden daha kötüdür. Sarkomatoid karsinoma tanısı sarkomatöz bir tümörde epitelyal komponent saptandığı zaman konulabilir. Epitelyal elementlerfokal olarak bulunduğunda, epitelial alanları içerendoku örneklerialınmamışsayanlışlıkla primer sarkoma tanısı alabilir. Biz bir sarkomatoid renal hücreli karsinom olgusunu; rutin hematoksilen-eozin ve immunohistokimyasal boyalarla inceledik. Sonuçları literatürdeki son verilerle değerlendirdik.
