An Evaluation of The Meaning of The Word “Tedebbur” in The Qur’an

Abstract

The correct understanding of the Qur’an is an extremely vital subject in terms of its counterparts. An important part of understanding it is the linguistic and philological analysis of words, phrases and sentences. Some words in the Qur’an, which is a divine message, are similar to each other. However, there are also words that express detailed meaningin in the Qur’an. It is obligatory to look at ancient dictionaries at the point of understanding such words. In addition, taking into consideration the other verses in the Qur’an in which similar words are used in the context of the related word, and analyzing the context and structure of the Qur’an are also important phases of the correct understanding of the Qur’an. In this study, the morphological structure of the word “tedebbur”, one of the important words related to understanding and interpreting the Qur’an, and their meanings in the Qur’an verses were studied. In order to achieve the aim of our research, a concept framework was tried to be formed by referring to the close words about “tedebbur” in the Qur’an tefekkur, tezekkur, ıbret and ru’yet. During the course of our research, the explanation and approaches of some exegetes who wrote exegesis with different sources and methods related to word “tedebbur” from the period of the copyright to the present were evaluated. As a result, in the context of the correct understanding of the Qur’an, it has been determined that the word “tedebbur” contains more detailed and profound meanings than similar expressions.

Kur’ân’ın doğru anlaşılması, onun muhatapları açısından son derece hayati bir konudur.Onu anlamanın önemli bir ayağını ise kelime, terkip ve cümlelerin dilbilimsel vefilolojik analizi oluşturmaktadır. İlahî bir mesaj olan Kur’ân’daki bazı kelimeler birbiriyleyakın anlamlıdır. Bununla birlikte Kur’ân’da detaylı anlam ifade eden kelimelerde bulunmaktadır. Bu tür kelimelerin anlaşılması noktasında kadim lügatlere bakılmasıelzemdir. Ayrıca ilgili kelime bağlamında ona benzer lafızların kullanıldığı Kur’ân’dakidiğer âyetlerin göz önünde bulundurulması, siyak-sibak bağlamı ve yapı analizlerininyapılması da Kur’ân’ı doğru anlamanın önemli aşmalarındandır.Bu çalışmamızda Kur’ân’ı anlamak ve yorumlamakla ilgili önemli kelimelerden biriolan “tedebbur” lafzının morfolojik yapısı ve Kur’ân âyetlerindeki anlamları incelenmiştir.Araştırmamızın hedefine ulaşabilmesi açısından “tedebbur” ile ilgili Kur’ân’dakitefekkür, tezekkür, ibret ve ru’yet gibi yakın anlamlı kelimelere değinilerek bir kavramçerçevesi oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmamız esnasında tedvin döneminden günümüzekadarki süre zarfında farklı kaynak ve yöntemlerle tefsir yazan bazı müfessirlerin“tedebbur” kelimesiyle ilgili tefsirî izah ve yaklaşımları değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçolarak Kur’ân’ın doğru anlaşılması bağlamında “tedebbur” kelimesinin ona benzer ifadelerdendaha detaylı ve derin anlamlar ihtiva ettiği tespit edilmiştir.
