Complementary Medicine in Chemotherapy Induced Vomiting

Abstract

Complementary Medicine methods are used widely and it is known that this methodshave quite a lot benefits. Especially, cancer patients receiving chemotherapy use thesemethods for the side effects of the treatment. One of the serious side effects of chemotherapy is nausea and vomiting. In this article,complementary therapies which are frequently used for nausea and vomiting have beendescribed to guide nurses caring for cancer patients.

Günümüzde tamamlayıcı tedavi yöntemleri her noktada kullanılmakta ve yararlarınınoldukça fazla olduğuna ilişkin görüşler yer almaktadır. Özellikle kemoterapi alan kanserhastaları tedavinin yan etkilerini önlemeye yönelik olarak bu yöntemleri kullanmaktadırlar.Kemoterapinin ciddi yan etkilerinden biri de kusmadır. Bu makalede, kanser hastalarınabakım veren hemşireleri yönlendirmek amacıyla, bulantı-kusma için sıklıkla kullanılantamamlayıcı tedavi yöntemleri anlatılmıştır.
