Husam al-Dîn Ali al-Bitlisi and the Methodology in His Tafsir (Interpretation) Titled Jâmi‘ al-tanzîl wa’l-ta’wîl

Hüsameddin Ali el-Bitlisî ve Camiu’t-tenzîl ve’t-te’vîl Adlı Tefsirindeki Yöntemi

Abstract

The present study addressed the life, social environment, works on philosophy, Sufism and commentary of Sheikh Husam al-Dîn Ali al-Bitlisi, who was born in 1504. In the present article, his most important interpretation titled Camiu’t-Tenzil ve’t-Te’vîl was scrutinized. Although the author uses the narration (al-rivâyah) and narration (al-dirâyah) interpretative methods together in this work, the work constitutes a typical example of the ishârî tafsir type. The rivâyah method that interprets verses using verses, hadith, the statements of the companions of Mohammad, and Isrâiliyyah. His views on Sufism, philosophy, kalam, fiqh and Arabic language were emphasized. In the present study, historical descriptive methodology was adopted.

Özet

Bu araştırma, 909/1504’te dünyaya gelen Şeyh Hüsameddin Ali el-Bitlisî’nin hayatını, yaşadığı çevreyi içermekte, onun felsefe, tasavvuf ve tefsirle ilgili eserlerini ele almaktadır. Bu makalede onun en önemli kitabı olan ve Camiu’t-tenzil ve’t-te’vîl olarak adlandırılan tefsiri üzerinde durulmuştur. Müellif, bu eserde rivayet ve dirayet tefsir yöntemlerini bir arada kullansa da eser, işârî tefsir türünün tipik bir örneğini oluşturur. Eser, felsefe, astronomi, astroloji, matematik, tarih, fıkıh, kelam, filoloji ve Şiî kültürü gibi pek çok konuyla ilgili önemli bilgiler içeren ansiklopedik bir tefsirdir. Onun bu tefsirde takip ettiği rivayet ve dirayet tefsir metodunu araştırdık. Ayetleri, ayetlerle, Hz. Peygamber’in hadisleri ve Sahabe sözleri ve israiliyâtla tefsir etme şeklindeki rivayet yöntemini açıkladık. Onun tefsirinde tasavvuf, felsefe, kelam, fıkıh ve Arap diliyle ilgili görüşleri üzerinde durduk. Bu araştırmada, tarihsel betimleyici bir yöntem izlenmiştir.
