Abstract
Cranial computed tomography (CT) is a generally utilized procedure after head trauma in combination with direct radiographies. Although CT can adequately demonstrate hemorrhagic intra and/or extracerebral conditions, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) appears to be more sensitive for extraaxial collections in the posterior fossa. This report presents a patient who had CT-undetec-table subarachnoid blood in the great horizontal fissure of the cerebellum on a MRI study performed 4 days after the head trauma.
