Abstract

Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of pressure sores and risk factors in inpatients in a university hospital. Material and Methods: The sampling of the descriptive and cross-sectional study consisted of 54 patients aged 18 and over who were hospitalized not long before 24 hours, in the intensive care, internal/surgical units in North Cyprus. Amaç: Bu çalışma, üniversite hastanesinde yatan hastalarda basınç yarası prevalansını ve risk faktörlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel olarak yapılan çalışmanın örneklemini Kuzey Kıbrıs’ta bulunan üniversite hastanesinin yoğun bakım üniteleri, dahili/cerrahi birimlerin yataklı servislerinde ve hastaneye 24 saat öncesinden yatan, 18 yaş ve üstü 54 hasta oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında, Hasta Bilgi Formu ve Waterlow Basınç Yarası Riski Değerlendirme Ölçeği kullanıldı. Nokta prevalansı belirlemek için veriler belirlenen tarihte bir gün içinde toplandı.
