Abstract
Tereke records are all types of document that include all the securities and real estates left behind by the deceased. These documents provide information about the social, cultural and economic situation of the Ottoman family. The terekes are kept by the kadis and noted down in the Sharia Registry. Hacı Mustafa Ağa, who was the subject of the investigation, was recorded in Kastamonu sharia registry number 35 in four pages. The existing goods are grouped and classified and the way they are divided into varices is given in the last section.

Tereke kayıtları ölen kişinin geride bıraktığıbütün menkul ve gayrimenkulleri içine alan belgetürleridir. Bu belgeler sayesinde Osmanlı ailesininsosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik durumu hakkındabilgilere ulaşılabilmektedir. Terekeler, kadılartarafından tutulup şer’iyye siciline teferruatlıolarak not edilmektedir. İncelemeye konu olanHacı Mustafa Ağa’nın terekesi de 35 numaralıKastamonu şer’iyye siciline dört sayfa halindekaydedilmiştir. Eldeki mallar gruplandırılaraktasnif edilmiş ve varislere ne şekilde taksimedildiği son kısımda verilmiştir.
