The results of fibrinolytic treatment in acute arterial and venous thrombosis cases

Abstract

Between Jan. 1994-Dec. 1995, 6 patients was treated with fibrinolytic treatment in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery of the Medical Faculty of Atatürk Universty. Patients ages ranged from 21 to 60 years with a mean age of 40 years; theirs 4 were males and 2 were females. 3 patients had venous thrombosis (1 vena cava inferior thrombosis, 1 flegmacia cerulea dolens, 1 iliofemoral thrombosis), 1 patients showed graft thrombosis. We performed intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activatory (rt-PA) in 4 patients, intraarterial streptokinase (SK) in 2 patients. We obtained succesful result, in two patients with venous thrombosis and one patient with graft thrombosis, treated with intraarterial SK showed local hemorrhagia. We concluded that fibrinolytic treatment in deep venous thrombosis and some acute arterial thrombosis can be effective.

Özet

Ocak 1994 - Aralık 1995 tarihleri arasında Atatürk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göğüs Kalp ve Damar Cerrahisi Ana Bilim Dalı' nda 6 hastaya fibrinolitik tedavi uygulandı. Hastaların yaşları 21-60 yıl (Ortalama 40 yıl) arasında değişmekteydi. 4 hasta erkek, 2 hasta kadın idi. 3 hastada venöz tromboz nedeniyle (1 vena cava inferior trombozu, 1 flegmacia cerulea dolens, 1 iliofemoral tromboz), 1 hastada greft trombozu nedeniyle sistemik recombinant doku plazminojen aktivatörü (rt-PA), 2 hastada akut arter embolisi nedeniyle intraarteriel streptokinaz uygulandı. 3 venöz tromboz olgusundan 2' inde, greft trombozu ve akut arter embolisi olgularında başarı sağlandı. Streptokinaz uygulanan 1 hastada lokal kanama oldu. Erken başvuran derin venöz trombozlarda ve cerrahi girişim düşünülmeyen akut arter tıkanıklıklarında, fibrinolitik tedavinin etkili metod olduğu düşüncesindeyiz.
