Postmodernism and postmodern identity Understanding

Abstract
Postmodernism is a thinking style which questions the main concepts and trends of modern thinking and culture, and also suspects liberation project (such as rationalism, universality, liberty, Christianity) of modernism. Postmodernism gives importance to freedoms, differences, heterogeneity, pluralism and localness. In postmodern understanding identity is consist of appearance, image and free time activity. In terms of postmodern discourse, universal common identity of subject is impossible
Özet
Postmodernizm modern düşünce ve kültüre ait temel kavram ve akımları sorgu layan, modernizmin kurtuluş projelerinden (rasyonalizm, evrensellik, özgürlük, Hıristiyanlık gibi) kuşku duyan bir düşünce tarzıdır. Özgürlükleri, farklılıkları, heterojenliği, çoğulculuğu ve yerelliği ön plana çıkaran postmodernizmde kimlik, görünüş, imajlar ve boş zaman faaliyetleri çerçevesinde oluşur. Postmodern söylem açısından öznelerin evrensel ortak kimlikleri artık mümkün değildir
