Abstract
The Determination The Precautions Taken Before and After The Application of Central Venous Catheter This study has been done to determine the precautions taken before and after the application of central venous catheter and necessary permissions have been given by the associations and the units where the study is conducted. After reviewing the necessary literature, the questionnare developed by the researchers has been used to collect of the data. In the questionnare there are some questions about the personal characteristics of the patients, the processes done before and after the application of Central Venous Catheter. The collected data was evaluated in percentage by using SPSS program. The average age of the patients in this study was 53.5 ±16.1. It was determi¬ned that 54.8 % of the catheters were applied w hile t hep atients w ere in bed and 44.5 % of them were used without applying indications and 88.1 % of the patients were on antibiotics. It was also determined that the barrier precautions taken in the units and hand - washing habits are not sufficient and in one of the units the catheters were applied for the first time without having a lung X-ray.
Özet
Bu çalışma, santral ven kateteri uygulanan hastalarda uygulama öncesi ve sonrası alınan önlemleri belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır ve çalışmanın yapılacağı kurumdan ve ünitelerden izin alınmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak gerekli literatürler taranarak, araştırmacılar tarafın-dan geliştirilen soru formu kullanılmıştır. Soru formunda hastalara ilişkin bireysel özellikler, SVK uygulamadan önce ve sonra yapılan işlemler ve alınan önlemlerle ilgili uygulamalara yer verilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, SPSS paket programındayüzdelikile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamına alınan hastaların yaş ortalaması 53.5 ± 16.1 olarak bulunmuştur. Kateterlerin %54.8 oranında hasta yatağında uygulandığı ve %44.5'inin takılma endikasyonu dışında kullanıldığı, hastaların%88.1 'inin antibiyotik kullandığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca ünitelerde alınan bariyer önlemlerin ve el yıkama alışkanlığının yeterli olmadığı ve ünitelerden birinde, kateterlerin ilk kez kullanılması durumunda akciğer filmi çekilmeden kateterlerin kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir.
