The situation of exposed to violence of pediatric nurses in Konya

Abstract

The Situation of Exposed to Violence ofPediatric Nurses in Konya, This study has been made to define the situation of exposed to violence of pediatric nurses who work in center hospitals in Konya. For this study six hospital were chosen. The sample was 99 nurses who have worked in pediatric clinics of these hospitals and who accepted to participate this research. The research datas were collected by means of inquiry which included the nurses' socio-demografic features and their opinion about exposed to violence. The datas were evaluated by using SPSS for windows 10.0 calculation percentage and cqi-square analyeis. It w as e stablished that 48% of the nurses were at the age of 20-25, 58% of them graduated from Health Trade High School, 45% of them had experiences between 1-5 years, 71% of them had experiences between 1-5 years on child nursing and 39% of them worked in state hospital. It was established that 78% of the pediatric nurses exposed to violence. It was designated that 67 % of the nurses verbally, 36 % of them with threat, and 13 % of them with physically met with attack and the other violence types. There couldn 't be found a meaningful difference on being exposed to violence according to the nurses' demographic characteristics (p>0.05).

Özet

Çalışmanın amacı, Konya İli merkez hastanelerinde çalışan pediatri hemşirelerinin şiddete maruz kalma durumlarını belirlemektir. Çalışma Konya İli merkezinde bulunan altı hastanede yapıldı. Çalışmanın örneklemini bu hastanelerde pediatri kliniğinde çalışan ve araştırmayı kabul eden 95 hemşire oluşturdu. Araştırma verileri hemşirelerin sosyo demografik özellikleri ve şiddete maruz kalma durumlarına yönelik sondan içeren anket formu kullanılarak toplandı. Veriler SPSS 10.0 paket programında yüzdelik hesaplamalar ve ki kare analiz yöntemi ile değerlendirildi. Hemşirelerin %48 'si 20-25 yaşında, %58'si Sağlık Meslek Lisesi mezunu olduğu,%45'i 1-5 yıllık çalışma deneyimine sahip olduğu, %71 'inin 1-5 yıl arası çocuk hemşireliği deneyimi olduğu, % 39 'u devlet hastanesinde çalıştığı saptandı. Pediatri hemşirelerinin %78'inin şiddete maruz kaldıkları belirlendi. Hemşirelerin %67'si sözle, %36'sı tehdit ve %13'ünün fiziksel saldırıya yeltenme ve %9 'unun diğer şiddet türleri ile karşılaştıkları belirlendi. Hemşirelerin demografik özelliklerine göre şiddetle karşılaşma durumları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunamadı (p> 0.05).
