Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the validity and reliability study and to adaptation of the Nonadherence Questionnaire with Dialysis Diet and Fluid Restrictions (QDDF) in our native language, which was designed by Vlaminck et al. (2001), for hemodialysis patients to evaluate the nonadherence with treatment. The study was designed as a methodical survey. The data were obtained from 160 patients in three hemodialysis centers in Ankara city center between March and May 2006. Data were collected by using a Personal Data Form, the QDDF and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSP). Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis and correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient obtained in the present study was 0.70 for the QDDF. Significant relationships between QDDF and biochemical and biological variables and MSP subscales were found (p
