Current design and manufacturing techniques used in fixed prosthetic restorations

Abstract

Especially for the fixed prosthetic restorationsin the posterior region, the veneering ceramic shouldbe supported by the framework to increase thestrength of the restoration against masticatory forces.By the improved technology and novelties in the usedmaterials, computer aided design/computer aidedmanufacturing systems are used in the frameworks aswell as in the veneering ceramics in contemporaryprosthetic restorations. While the frameworktechniques frequently used in the fixed prostheticrestorations are lost-wax casting, subtractive andlayered addivite techniques; methods used for thesuprastructures are layering, pressing and the file -splitting techniq ue obtained by computer aideddesign/computer aided manufacturing system. In thisreview, current framework and veneering techniquesused in fixed prosthetic restorations are analyzed.

Özet

Özellikle posterior bölgede uygulanan sabitprotetik restorasyonlarda, çiğneme kuvvetleri karĢısın -da restorasyonun dayanıklılığını arttırmak amacıyla üstyapı seramiği alt yapı ile desteklenmelidir. GeliĢenteknoloji ve kullanılan materyallerdeki yenilikler ile,bilgisayar destekli tasarım/bilgisayar destekli üretimsistemleri günümüz protetik restorasyonlarda altyapıların yanı sıra üst yapıların hazırlanmasında dakullanılmaktadır. Sabit protetik restorasyonlardasıklıkla kullanılan alt yapı hazırlama yöntemleri gele -neksel kayıp mum tekniği, eksiltme ve tabakalamaesaslı ekleme yöntemleri iken; üst yapı hazırlama yön -temleri tabakala ma, ısı -basınç ile Ģekillendirme vebilgisayar destekli tasarım/bilgisayar destekli üretimsistemi ile elde edilen ‟dosya bölme‟‟ teknikleridir. Buderlemede, sabit protetik restorasyonlarda kullanılangüncel alt yapı ve üst yapı hazırlama yöntemleriince lenmektedir.
