Abstract
As a result of the First World War, Moudros Armistice was hoped to be the means of partition of Ottoman Empire by the Allied Forces. The 24th article of the armistice was put forward as a result of this idea. Great Britain took political and military actions. One of these actions is the study case of Lieutenant Colonel Kiling. Lieutenant Colonel Kiling, during his service of 6th Army district, provoked Armenians to turn back to Syria. The aim was to put the 24th article of the armistice into effect claiming that immigration was the result of a force.
Özet
I.Dünya Savaşı'nın sonunda imzalanan Mondros Mütarekesi İtilaf Devletleri'nin elinde Osmanlı Devleti'ni parçalayacak bir araç haline dönüştürülmek istendi. Mütarekenin 24. Maddesi bu anlayışın sonucunda kaleme alınmıştı. İngiltere bir takım siyasi ve askeri girişimlerde bulundu. Bunlardan biri de Yarbay Kiling Olayı'dır. Yarbay Kiling, 6. Ordu bölgesinde bulunduğu süre içinde Ermenileri Suriye'ye dönmeleri için kışkırttı. Amaç, göçün Ermenilere yapılan baskıdan kaynaklandığını iddia ederek 24. Madde'nin uygulanmasını sağlamaktı.
