ANDY WARHOL INCIDENT IN THE ART SCENE

Abstract

Andy Warhol brakes our perception about the art because despite the fact that he was one of the most talked-about and most controversial names since his very first entrance to the art scene, he neither changed his attitudes, nor stepped backed from his assertive statements. For some, he was “the end of the art”, for others he was “the beginning of the new art”. Although he claimed that his intend was not making art, his impact on the art world indicated that nothing will have ever been the same again. In this essay, the milestones of the art history are described in general and Andy Warhol’s point of view about the art, his “factory”, his works and how the common perception of the art has changed after his appearance in the art scene are discussed.

Andy Warhol, sanat alanına girdiği andan itibaren hem en çok konuşulan, en çok tartışılanisimlerden biri hem de hakkında ki bunca söyleme karşın çizgisini değiştirmemiş, iddialıaçıklamalarından geri adım atmamış bir isim olma özelliğiyle sanat algımızın kırılmanoktasında duruyor. Kimilerine göre “sanat’ ın sonu” kimilerine göre “yeni sanat’ ınbaşlangıcı” olarak nitelendiriliyor. Çoğu söyleminde derdinin sanat olmadığını beyanetmesine karşın, sanat alanında böylesine yankı uyandırması artık hiçbir şeyin aynıolmayacağının göstergesiydi.Bu çalışmada, Sanatta kırılma noktaları genel hatlar üzerinde ele alınmakta ve Andy Warhol’un sanat alanına girişinden itibaren sanata karşı duruşu, “fabrika” sı, işleri ve tüm bu süreçiçerisinde genel sanat algısının ne yönde değiştiği ele alınmaktadır.
