Femoral neck fractures in osteopetrosis

Abstract
Technical difficulties with histopathologic union abnormalities in patients with osteopetrosis often cause to emerge complications. In this paper we present a case who operated first with Knowles pin, then angular plate using Pauwels Y osteotomy technique. We discussed the reasons of failure in our case which resulted in neck resorption and pesudoarthrosis, under literature knowledge.
Özet
Osteopetrozisli hastalarda histopatolojik kaynama anormalliklerine ilave olarak cerrahi teknik güçlükler komplikasyonların sık görülmesine sebep olmaktadır. Bu yazımızda kollum femoris kırığı sebebiyle önce Knowles çivisi, sonra Pauwels Y osteotomisiyle açılı plak uygulanan bir vaka sunulmuştur. Boyun rezorpsiyonu ve pseudoartroz ile sonuçlanan vakamızda başarısızlık sebeplerimizi literatür bilgisi altında tartıştık.
